Why am I getting downvoted when the dang coast guard later said it made it easier? Because I said infrared instead of thermal? Nerds.

Don’t need to wait for night for infrared.

The gulf temps and his temp would shine on the screen either way.

They have thermal. Most of the big boats have thermal. Hell, my poor arse has thermal.
