You find out a hit piece from a major newspaper, (NY Times, Chicago tribune, Washington Post, etc) is coming out against your accomplished coach (Saban, Kirby, etc) during the College Football Playoffs, CWS, or NCAA Tournament and it written by an alumni of your rival school, Auburn, LSU, Florida State, Mississippi State, etc. who is also in the playoffs, CWS tournament etc.

Are you pissed off and think something is up? Oh and let’s pretend your coach is conservative and the paper is liberal and your coach gets a letter to AD demanding an interview right before the next big game in said playoffs.

Just because it sucks doesn’t mean it isn’t true. It’s just about how much you want to dig. Texas media torpedoed both SMU and A&M, simply because they knew where to dig

Everyone cheats, and everyone has skeletons

Every situation is not the same, but I am on Mulkey's side in this case. Screw the press 9 times out of 10.

Alabama had incredibly negative articles written about them for 2 years while under NCAA investigation BEFORE the NCA said anything official at all in the early 200's, killing our recruiting even before the hammer dropped. Much of it was blatantly false but it was against Alabama, "everyone knew they were guilty anyway", and no one outside Alabama gave a damn. It happens. You won't get any sympathy.

I'd be interested to see the content and make my own decision. I also don't think this has anything to do with "politics."

The only ones trying to make it political are Mulky and her defenders, because yelling "this is a political witch hunt by the woke left" is an easy way to get people to stop using their brain to evaluate what this person has to say, vs. using emotions to decide they're already wrong because "liberals."

For the mental state of Kim MulkeyMan, I hope there’s nothing to this pending story.

As a Mizzou fan this will NEVER happen. We tragically proactively self-report when a player gets help from an overweight woke tutor which somehow gets us multi-year bans.

It’d by my dream for a reporter to write a hit piece because for once it means we didn’t shoot our own foot off.
