I thought we played really well in Nashville after halftime of the LSU game. Play at that level again and I think we beat Michigan State and can hang with UNC.
Easier said than done, obviously. Izzo is a legend for a reason. I do think we’ve had the better season but that doesn’t really matter now. This game will probably be a rock fight, which is frankly what both teams prefer. Just a matter of who can execute better.
And then if you manage to get past them, playing the Tar Heels in Charlotte is a true road game. If we get to the second weekend there will be nothing cheap about it (I can’t see UNC losing to Howard or Wagner).

Terrible bracket in that the winner will play the #1 seed right out of the gate. But, one must win them all to score, so get it on.

There are worse 1 seeds to be paired with. I kinda figured we might be in an 8/9 game so I was hoping for anyone not named UConn. Houston would've been really tough too but at least Memphis would’ve been close by. Purdue and UNC are the two less scary 1 seeds to me. They could last until the very end but I also wouldn’t be shocked if they went out early.

I can't stand North Carolina, but if they play Howard and "Hobama" shows up to "motivate" her school again I hope UNC wins by 200.

Take this with a grain of salt, but we really do match up better with UNC than we do with Mich State.
First game will be must watch physical basketball.

I’ve seen multiple media types suggesting State may beat UNC and make a Sweet 16 or Elite 8 run. I’m just worried about getting past Izzo first.
Winning in the tourney is not something State has done well outside of two year run in the mid 90’s. After the 95-96 run where we made a Sweet 16 and Final Four in consecutive years, we have zero Sweet 16’s in the last 28 years. And have not won a tourney game period since 2008.
