“And that’s exactly what I witnessed today. Mississippi State absolutely BBQ’d Tennessee.”

- Steven Pearl postgame laying the hammer down on the underachieving Vols when asked about facing Mississippi State.

He probably was planning on using that story after the game at TBA, but they got smoked so it didn’t happen.

Well that's disappointing. Don't worry Steven, we remember you.

Mississippi is the one place I’ve never really visited(driving through doesn’t count). I thought they were more about the hot tamales.
I’ve lived in San Antonio where tamales were an obscure Christmas thing. I had a tamale guy in Midland Texas deliver me tamales until I swore I’d never eat one again. I live 10 min from Tommy Tamale which was yelp’s #1 restaurant in the nation a couple years ago but have never been. I stopped by pop’s in Orange Mound Memphis because of the True South SEC show. I just don’t know if they’re good or not. Is there something I’m doing wrong?

You don't go to a BBQ. You eat BBQ.

Sheesh!

Well, was he? Or did his dad make him lie about it?
