What does a successful Perkins season look like at ILB?

He destroys all in his path and the opposing team is not able to get one pass off, because the QB has been sacked. (Think "Waterboy")

It would look like him carrying the ball on offense and wrecking it at LB

According to the rantards, he needs to lead the ncaa in every defensive category(individual AND team) by himself while having 25 rushing tds.

A successful season looks like not last year. Hopefully he's not lined up at Nickel and just sort of running around aimlessly. Make it simple for him, see QB, run towards QB. Don't make him so easy to neutralize.

It's possible that he isn't a LBer and never will be. If he's just a small edge rusher, then fine. He's shown that he can impact the game so let him do what he does. If someone steps up and provides consistent pressure on the opposite side then he'll have a good year.

Utilized as a disrupter. Causes a lot of chaos for the opposing offense. He should be close to 8 sacks with the amount hes going to be blitzing and 12-15 TFLs. But stats don't need to tell the whole picture. If he is causing a lot of disrupting but not making the sacks or TFLs because it flushes the QB or running back and others make the plays then thats a successful season. He just needs to cause disruption and not be in no mans land dropping into a soft zone.

Not neutering him like last year. Let him go after the QB. Look how good he was his freshman year. That needs to return.

If he learns this season on shedding a down hill guard/tackle block, the he can be one of the best backers in LSU history next year. He’s solid in coverage, spying, and blitzing. He just got washed almost every time when teams ran at him.

I trust Baker will put him in positions to really excel

Here are a few recent LSU ILBs

Devin White (13 games) - 123 tackles 12.0 TFL 3.0 sacks, 3 FF, 6 PBUs
Patrick Queen (15 games) - 88 tackles, 12.0 TFL, 3 sacks, 1 int
Damone Clark (12 games) - 137 tackles, 15.5 TFL, 5.5 sacks, 1 int, 2 FF, 3 PBUs

Since I have to adjust for how dynamic Perk's stats already are, they are going to be much higher than these. Since I already consider him having successful seasons, an improvement would be something like

13 games - 96 tackles, 17.5 TFL, 10.5 sacks, 14 QB hurries, 4 FF, 2 int, 1 TD

Terrorize the opposing qb.

Sadly we will probably have him in coverage
