While true, this falls under the category of people using a legal product to perform an illegal act. Also, restrictions on gun sales affect everyone including law abiding citizens.
Controlling who comes in over our border and detaining people here illegally has no negative impact whatsoever on citizens and is consistent with our current laws (and every other country too).
IMO this is apples and oranges.

That’s definitely fair.
I think I just felt like illegals as a whole were being categorized the same way by some people ITT and obviously not everyone is a terrible piece of trash like this guy.
