Gameday Options - Where to stay?

Me and group of friends of mine are wanting to go to the UGA game this year in Tuscaloosa. Ideally we would all leave our kiddos with their grandparents.
Hotel and Airbnb prices are insane. We were thinking possibly stay in Bham and get a bus/shuttle to take us down Saturday morning, but priced one option and it was $300/hr with a 20% tip on top for the driver. Will call around to see if prices are any better with another company. Was thinking possibly rent a couple of RVs and park on campus.
Any recommendations?

Buddy and I are planning the same trip. He has already tried all
The RV parks for that weekend and they are all booked. We are in the same boat as you.

Maybe one of the state parks in the area? Most have camping/cabins etc.

How many people? Driving into Bham or flying in?

Just stay in Birmingham, the drive back after games is not that terrible. Should be back within an hour or so.
Usually we stay off 280 since my wife will want to hit the summit the next day

We drive from Mobile, and usually stay in Meridian. To and from Tuscaloosa is about a 90 minute drive on a very decent stretch of interstate highway; the hotel rates are NOT raised at all on game weekends, and there is almost ZERO game day traffic coming or going.
