Where would they even put them? I guess you can level a few of the blocks down town and build the golf thing and the Sports Illustrated thing

There are places to put them, it just makes no sense at all, just like this ghetto beach they are harping about. There are tangible things that COULD be done...like improving downtown Tuscaloosa, expanding the very charming downtown Northport, building a legit sporting facility, something like Albertville has. These wouldnt get the hype and praise though

They have been improving downtown Tuscaloosa since Nick Saban has arrived. It is a ton better now than it was in 2006 , where they hell can they expand downtown Northport to? lol You could use the old McFarland Mall space for a sports complex, but Stan Pate aint going for that

improving downtown Tuscaloosa

I guess I am becoming the "old timer" that tells the kids they don't know how good they have it, but downtown has improved exponentially since I was a student from 1997-2002.

4th and 23rd, DePalma's, Innisfree, Catch 22 and Subs N You were about it for downtown at the turn of the century. No hotels, limited restaurants, and few bars. Now it appears to be thriving when I visit.

I'm sure improvements can still be made but let's not disregard the progress that has already happened.
