You can't be born on 3rd base and never reach 3rd base.
And Ryan Day has already been to 3 playoffs and a national championship game. That's literally what 3rd base would be in CFB

Also, Day is basically Coker without the title.
He was gifted the NC appearance in the COVID year.

Kirby inherited a great junior class. But that was it.
2013 class was pathetic.
2015 and 2016 were barely good.
Kirby also inherited a below average football support system within the admin building.
100% of what we are today is a consequence of Kirby's demands the day he was hired and what he saw success requires while at Bama.
If the junior class alone gets Kirby on third base, then that is a weak argument as its QB was Jacob Park.
Kirby was playing true freshmen QBs his first 2 seasons as a head coach.

Mark Richt had Georgia on 3rd base for a lot of years, his problem was Urban. UGA was primed to run and Kirby had success immediately. It isn't that hard to understand.
