One of 3 Auburn players with his number retired.
Twitter post..
How great was #Auburn HOFer Terry Beasley? He is still tied for 6th in SEC w/ 29 career receiving TDs…in 30 games. Those ahead of him played in 49, 39, 40, 46 & 38 games respectively. Those tied w/ him played in 32 (Ike) & 36. Nevermind the rule changes. #RIPBeas

RIP TB!
He could have been the poster boy for CTE. He suffered countless concussions, at least about 20, during his playing days and has had CTE related problems for years. The second photo is of him being dragged off the field knocked out… no trainer around. Throw some cold water on him and some ammonia and back in he went.

Sadly may have been suicide.

He spent his last years in agony. It's amazing he outlived Pat.

I remember those old Birmingham News photos with the player's names in the Sunday paper.
RIP Terry.
Great story about the 1970 Tennessee game here.

My biggest disappointment from the 1971 season was obviously getting our asses whipped by Nebraska.
My second biggest disappointment was that Ed Marinaro chose to go to the Hula Bowl, instead of coming to the Senior Bowl and playing against Musso, Sullivan, Beasley, Robin Parkhouse, and Bobby Majors.
Just remembered a bit of really weird trivia about Pat Sullivan and that Senior Bowl game. Anyone want to guess?

Sullivan to Beasley, man that was a lethal combo back in the day. They are part of my earliest memories of college football and the Iron Bowl as a 5-6 year old in the early 70s. That was a good era for Auburn football. Rest in peace, sir.
