Going to be the deepest offensive team Georgia has had for a while. Condon is an all american and potential top 5-10 pick. Gonzalez and Collins are both back, but will have to perform to stay on the field with the amount of players brought in. Tre Phelps is the jewel of the recruiting class. Top 5 guy in state and top 100 in the nation. Transfer wise we are getting guys from Baylor, Mississippi State, Purdue, Florida Atlantic, etc. The class is a top 15 class.

I dont have any insight but I could see a lineup looking like this

C-Logan Jordan(Campbell)||.301/394/.529
1B-Lukas Farris(W Kentucky)||.291/.363/.544
2B-Paul Toetz(Purdue)||.335/.425/579
3B-Slate Alford(Miss St)||.248/.313/459
SS-Kolby Branch(Baylor)||.326/.430/.509
OF-Charlie Condon||.386/.484/.800
OF-Clayton Chadwick(Sam Houston)||.294/404/500
OF-Dillon Carter(Texas Tech)||.267/.449/.555
DH-Corey Collins||.267/.415/.505

Fernando Gonzalez||C||.234/.369/.431
Dylan Goldstein(Florida Atl)||OF||.297/.413/.538
John Marant(JUCO)||OF/DH||
Tre Phelps||3B||

Pitching is the big question mark and we will see if Wes Johnson really earns his reputation and money in his first year. Biggest names coming back are Will Pearson, Charlie Goldstein, and Chandler Marsh. Also, a returning Coleman Willis will hopefully find a spot in the rotation with his huge potential. Here is a list of transfers we are getting in but none instil confidence and most are relievers.

Brandt Pancer(Stanford)||RHP||4.18 ERA, 47.1 IP
Zach Harris(Georgia Southern)||RHP||7.85 ERA, 36.2 IP
Brian Zeldin(Penn)||RHP||3.74 ERA. 21.2 IP
Josh Roberge(Southern New Hampshire)||RHP||3.36, 78 IP
Daniel Padysak(Charleston Southern)||RHP||3.19, 42.1
Christian Mracna(George Mason)||RHP||3.09 ERA, 32 IP

The offense will probably be able to do a good bit of damage and could possibly be one of the best in the conference, but the pitching will tell everything. If Johnson can make a difference in a short period of time, we could host a regional or be a solid #2 seed. If the pitching needs a year, we are probably losing a lot of high scoring games and will be on the wrong side of the bubble.

This will be a total wildcard season. New coaching staff, damn near entirely new roster with a ton of transfers. OOC schedule has been amended a bit. It’s going to be an interesting year.

Since virtually the whole roster has turned over, I’ll just forego pretending I know what’s going to happen and outsource to Dasher after he talked to Wes Johnson: LINK

Maybe our pitching rotation should be all relievers. Starter goes 2 innings, a middle reliever goes 3 innings, then three closers for the last three innings.
