Interesting. LSU was below A&M in average player rating, despite A&M having a failed season and firing their coach.

No, that's not the approach he's taking.

Too lazy to do the math, but what is Bama's class without the two guys who left?

Top 5, #2 in the SEC behind UGA.

It's easier when the recruiting services bump bama players and cause everyone else to fall

LSU has two players jump up to 5 star status. Bama has a Tight End jump up to 5 star as well.

BK seems to be taking the quantity over quality approach (THIRTEEN 3-stars ). If you look at the average rating, LSU is 10th, behind schools like Notre Dame and Penn State.

BK’s strategy of taking a good mix of blue chips and non-blue chips along with locking down LA kids who presumably have at least some roots/loyalty (whatever exists these days) to LSU is probably not a bad strategy at all in the NIL and free transfer era of college football. A five star and a 3 star backup from your home state may be easier to keep than a 5 star and a 4 star back up from California. Threading the needle of getting elite talent and also developing depth and backups who will stay in your system for a few years is the new name of the game.

247 has it UGA, Bama and LSU at 7.

And as of the early signing period Here are the top 10 schools nationally in blue-chip ratio for the 2024 class as of Dec. 11: Georgia (78.6%), Texas (75%), Ohio State (72.7%), Alabama (71.4%), Oregon (69.6%), Florida (65%), Texas A&M (68.7%), Florida State (68.2%), Auburn (63.2%) and Tennessee (63.2%). (Per On3)

Nice. On3, which is what this thread was about, doesn't have that.

That's why all 10 members of the coaching staff have deep seeded roots in LA. Playing and coaching all 10 cut their teeth in LA football. Mom, dad and grandma all have an easy drive to BR for games. Even east texas (houston) and ms same thing.

LSU has won 3 national titles with a roster with a lot a LOT of local talent. Go out of state for particular players/positions.

Honestly this should always be LSU’s approach. Zero instate competition in a talent rich state and can poach parts of TX and Miss pretty easily.

locking down LA kids

That is the strategy BK is taking.

12 of the top 15 Louisiana recruits:

It's just that this is a down year for blue-chip talent in Louisiana with only 11. Often you can see upwards of 20 BCs in a year.

You don’t think after the 2024 season Bama will not jump way up after Deboar actually shows what he’s capable of?

I think there is going to be alot of….. what’s it called…. Oh yea …Melt…. around here after next season.

Oh and yep I’m new here.

The Sayin thing isn't included in this.

Alabama is replacing Sayin's 5 stars with Ryan Williams' 5 stars and Williams will contribute much sooner than Sayin would have.

No. Saban is gone. Get used to it. Most likely DeBore shows that Bama is a 4-loss team without Nick regardless of how many games the new coach won at Sioux Falls.
