Have they underperformed so far? I thought they was supposed to have a good team this year?

No they lost their fat Kobe and now all they have is that other little fatty and a guy named North East.

Nah. We all knew this was going to be an off year for us. Next year we should hopefully be a tournament team once again.

Sent 2 guys to the NBA and graduated many. Mostly a new team this year.

No...that should be next season or the year after. We have a great recruiting class coming in, but this year will suck like being stranded in lawrence, ks wearing black and gold and having the last name of Quantrill.

No.
We’ve still underperformed.
As good as Gates was last year, he’s completely missed this year.
He missed all the impact players in the portal that he was after.
Now he’s refusing to play more
talented and athletic underclassmen. So we’re not developing our underclassmen and we’re still losing with guys who won’t be here next year.
Could be 2026 before we’re decent again.

That gets us to about 62 ppg. Good for 6-8 wins in the SEC.

They just don't have a very good roster and even then their best player or two are seniors and gone with little to no help coming next year. They may actually be worse and he's really bad at the portal which is the main game now in hoops.
The guy took Connor Vanover for God's sake.
Year 1 with another coaches roster means very little, so Gates is who we all thought he was now.

You had 1 good year. In last 10 years, and first winning season in 5 years.
