In his interview with ESPN Saban indicated that he will still be around very much, also post-retirement. Does that mean it is less likely that Lane Kiffin will become the next HC, given that Saban and Kiffin do not mesh very well and Kiffin's tenure at Bama ended on a sour note (with Saban dismissing him a week prior to the national title game)?

On another note, I'm Dutch and Kalen DeBoer definitely has Dutch ancestry: 'De Boer' (the farmer) is a very common name in the Netherlands. So, I guess I'm rooting for him to come to Alabama for now.

I can say Saban has earned the right to stay around, but that would be difficult on the next coach

one-quarter Dutch myself...definitely thought about that connection with DeBoer. Tough relationship with Dutch sports though with all that orange.
