I know we have all seen lists out there but does anyone have connections to the program that would have intel on who Drink is talking to for D Coordinator opening?

AD has done a good job since she’s replaced all the associate ADs in not leaking. Quiet as a church mouse.

Probably for the best to not let schools know who they’re going after for free.
Also seems like Peoples isn’t leaving now unless he’d take a different job at LSU as they just hired Davis.

Drink probably want’s to keep as many assistant coaches as possible.
Just a guess but I bet when Baker got a new deal, so did his assistant coaches and staff. If a new DC came and wanted to hire all new staff we would have to buy them out.
We will need to hire a DC that will be okay keeping Baker’s people

That probably makes Leonhard a leading candidate as he is an analyst right now with no current staff to bring with him like the SMU DC. I'm just spitballing.

So we'd handcuff the new DC before they ever stepped on campus? I dont think that would be a way to increase the odds of getting who you want.

He has the LSU buyout money to buyout Baker’s staff. We would be spending all the LSU money paying off his staff. Peoples alone would cost over $400,000.
