Think of how long it’s been. Hell, Ohio State’s best teams were built on talent from the South.

Shoot Penix was everything to Washington and he’s from Florida— so these Washington guys saying “they own the south” still needed the bring the south up to Seattle to get the NC.

The northern teams long before integration got both the best white and black players.
Going to Big 10 teams back then was an escape from poverty in the South.
