The OP is clearly saying he thinks UGA was one of the best four teams, but that’s he is OK with Alabama getting in ahead of them
because his team “had a fair shot”.
The extension of his “fair shot” logic is that Florida State was undefeated in a P5 conference- they did everything they were supposed to do to get into the playoffs,
based on every single precedent.
You need to understand what the word "might" means and how it pertains to his post.
So I guess you should check yourself there, bud.

You can’t have it both ways. If you “one of the top four teams”, then scream you got screwed. If “you had your chance and lost”, then scream because Florida State earned their chance and got screwed.

We will never know what would have happened had FSU stayed a cohesive football team with all it’s players available not only against UGA, but how it would have fared in the playoffs as a four seed playing Michigan instead.

Then why did they rank FSU ahead of Georgia?
Because it was the name test for top four and record test after that.
Because it was the name test for top four and record test after that.

His post is clearly saying that he is ok with UGA not getting into the playoff because they had their chance and lost - even though UGA “might” be one of the four best teams. This clearly says he believes that “more deserving” trumps “might be better”.
Based on the established precedent of the playoff committee, an undefeated P5 team was never left out of the playoff. A P5 champ with a better record was never left out in favor of a P5 team with a lesser record.
FSU did everything they were supposed to do to earn their chance in the playoffs. They were denied their chance .

IMO, Georgia is better than Meatchickin or Washington, but I don’t think the powers that be want to entertain the possibility of an all SEC championship again. When it goes to a 12 team playoff, that’s what it will be half the time.

bullshite! By the BCS' own words, it's about the body of work and picking the four best teams. If Georgia was one of the four best teams, (and they are) they should've been in. You only have to go back two years to see that a conference championship game doesn't mean the better team won.
The committee put Bama in, in contradiction to their own stated metrics, because they wanted Bama to be in.
And it will be obvious when Michigan whips them and proves they didn't deserve to be there.

The playoff has nothing to do with best teams or most deserving….never has. It’s always been about TV. Cincinatti was in it once. Michigan is in it this having plead guilty to cheating and going in the tank statistically post cheating. If it was about best teams UGA is in. If it’s about most deserving FSU is in. Neither is because it’s always been about TV. Georgia had its shot. They missed. It happens. The committee is as right as it’s ever been….they are beauty pageant judges and that’s all

Quitters. Every. Single. One. Of. Them. FSU deserved this beatdown. They asked for it.

True, but.... say Alabama played Georgia and had 30 opt outs. Yes, Alabama would lose, but it sure as hell wouldn't be by 60 fricking points.
