Have you noticed how the most highly coveted recruits to come out of Auburn High almost all chose to get out of Auburn as quickly as possible? I think that says a lot about Auburn. The town, the school, and the football program. While the Auburn head coaching job has been a revolving door, one thing has remained constant. Auburn kids with options don’t want to play at Auburn.

Imagine that. Kid gets bored of rural town after living there for 18 years while living less than two hours away from both atlanta and birmingham.

Like the kicker from Auburn high in the 2024 class? The one that accepted a PWO at Auburn over a full ride at Ole Miss? One of the best kickers in the nation.
