I don't see what value/advantage hiring a position coach who coached at UM for two seasons could really provide them. Maybe they hired him to help protect themselves from signal stealing because he was there and would know about it?

You haven't pointed out how hiring an unemployed position coach who coached at Michigan is "cheating" nor have you quantified how it even really benefits them.

Just throwing this out there, but is it possible that Saban hired him because Bama just lost their LB coach to, I think, Mississippi State, and Bama needs a LB coach for the playoffs.
Is it possible that the main reason he was chosen was because he worked for Saban at Alabama long before he worked at Micheatgan and Saban is familiar with his work ethic and style?
