people like this are so insane to me. I didn't graduate from University of SEC and I don't have shirts that say SEC on them. Whether the conference that my alma plays in has teams that win or lose their bowl games is of absolutely zero relevance to me.

This. I will cheer for SEC teams I kind of like sometimes (usually depending on the year) or if them winning benefits Auburn somehow. Other than that, all the rest of you can go to hell. No offense

If JohnQSECFan is sitting at home and pulling for a team he hates simply because they are in the SEC and playing the Big 10...ok what happens after? if I don't like an opponent I may cheer for that SEC team, but I assure you there are very few times I like that opponent less than I do somebody like Alabama or Georgia.
Bama fans really don't get why we don't want them to win a game

Really? You don’t think it benefits Auburn for people throughout the sports world to perceive the SEC as the toughest conference in college football?

in what possible way woudl it frick them? If AU won 11 or 12 or whoever many games and bama/uga/etc all went 8-4 that would be an absolute dream for AU. Their playoff chances wouldn't be hindered in any way whatsoever by their rivals being crappy.

-AU as a football team doesn't receive jack shite based on how the sec is perceived
-Who gives a frick about how the sports world "perceives" the league?
-If AU is sistting at home how are they benefitting by the league's elite doing well? They aren't, in any way
You know what would help people's perception of AU? AU winning games and being good. Part of winning games and being good is having the other temas they play and recruti against not be as good. Those teams winning national titles helps them to recruit better and be good, therefore it hurts AU.
Some of yall need validation so bad it's comical. Not everyone has to root for bama at all times.
