Why is an entire fanbase so worried about where another team places?

When it doesn’t effect their standing at all?

Dolphie I don't think we needed a new thread on this.

But I'm open to having my mind changed by creative content.

I mean you know the answer to that.

But also you’re asking why college football fans have interest in college football pretty much.

Seriously? Because next time it could be us. This sets the precedent that a 2019 LSU could be left out if Joe Burrow had torn his ACL in the 4th quarter or the SECCG. Or in a 12-team playoff, if not left out altogether, not given 1 of the 4 byes and made to play a 1st round game on the road. It completely spits in the face of fairness and the entire reason why we even play the games.
