The Travis injury definitely opened the door for a closer examination of the three teams jockeying for two spots. The first thing to spot was the glaringly weak SOS FSU had to get to their record.

Guy on committee said pretty bluntly that the reason FSU dropped was due to the injury

That was the reason

This should not be part of it... this is the dumbest criteria I've ever read

but it isn't. Losing the best player on your team who also plays the most important position absolutely plays a factor in how good you likely are.

LSU without Daniels is a 6 win team.

And they looked like shite on Saturday. There is absolutely a strong enough argument that FSU is not a top 4 team without their QB. They sure as shite didn't look like it.

That QB wouldn't be playing in the playoff.

Tell that to nick folks and the eagles.. this narrative about a TEAM is one player is dumb.. a weak team is one player.. a good team is a whole and finds ways to win no matter who is out

ah

College football and the NFL are totally the same.

ok. FSU looked weak on Saturday without their best player within the context of who the best 4 teams should be.

Travis isn't FSU's starting QB. Tate is. "That all you"

Your pedantic, sniveling comments suit my ego all day long. Keep going.

Neither started last game so if the star, Travis, isnt the starter then neither is Tate and who the frick is Taylor.

Interesting that the old BCS rankings, which don’t even care about loss of key players, would have had:

1-Michigan
2-Washington
3-Alabama
4-Florida State

But the BCS is flawed, remember? That's why we had to leave it and go with the CFP committee.

There will never be a "perfect system" because there will always be teams who feel "left out". If you think it's bad now, just imagine how it will be starting next year. There's a hell of a lot more 2-3 loss teams than 0-1 loss teams.

FSU was a superior team due to being undefeated. If both had equal losses then absolutely Bama is in over FSU. And based on the criteria Texas would have been in over Bama
