I can do the research, I don't care to do so in this case regarding Alabama. The fellow that said about digging into numbers more can do that research for his state if he wants to. I posted the link to an earlier Bama poster regarding median per capita income for all states for year end 2022.

You need to read the context of my post in light of the earlier post referenced above with the per capita median income links.

All I know is you did an outstanding job of derailing cajunbama's thread.

Grew up in Baton Rouge, my family is from SW Louisiana. It's a bit different over that way but some of that core is still there since so much of that area was settled by the same folks that went through the same things. It may even be a bit more mixed over there other than in NOLA itself - Hwy 190 (my dividing line) swings awfully far south on that side of the state.

I'd highly recommend this book by one of my history professors at Southeastern. I'm confident you would enjoy it - if you haven't already read it.

You are from the New Orleans area (live in Metairie). Would it be fair to assume you attended maybe Archbishop Rummel HS?

Regardless I have asked you this before, did you actually attend the University of Alabama (which I will say is a very good school). And let me say, not going to University is not the end. Too many kids are enticed to go to College and get degrees with the word "Studies" in it , gender, intersectionality, any of the alphabet soup letters and add studies to it. The result, crap loads of debt and degrees that lead to no job resulting in a bunch of 20 year olds on social media screaming about everything.

So I don't want to come off as an elitist here, lots of people should not go to University but rather get 2 year associate or trade school degree and go be a plumber, electrician, someone that can repair walls with mold and paint, etc. Having had to do repairs on my home, those fellows make a damn good living.

So assuming you did not attend Alabama, you are not from there, why Alabama? Is it, and I am asking, was your family old Tulane fans and since they got out of the SEC and eventually LSU and them stopped playing you vicariously root for Bama with Saban as coach because you know he is going to more often than not beat LSU?
