On what Earth do people think the SEC champ shouldn't have an automatic bid

Of course Alabama should get in. I am an LSU fan and I don't particularly care for the Gumps. But them beating the number 1 team in the country should more than qualify them for the championship play offs. Name the last 15 national champions.

I mean if Jordan Travis didn’t get hurt the SEC would’ve been left out. On that earth the playoffs would’ve had no SEC team.

Seems like I remember the Awbs crying way back when when they got left out of the BCS or whatever it was at the time.

its sad to think that a tough tackle ended the FSU season, not a loss.
I also do hate it for Jordan that he is going to feel like the reason FSU didnt get in is squarely his fault, when he did nothing wrong.

The SEC should 99.9% get an automatic bid because we are the best conference.

Yes the AU folks did cry and with good reason as an undefeated SEC champion being left out of 2004 championship game. USC smoked OU and then later was disqualified as champions because of Reggie Bush shenanigans (and probably others). AU finished second in AP poll to USC. This snub has not happened to an undefeated SEC champion since. I have some sympathy for FSU today.
