Correct. Kirby was also 0-4 vs. him before we played in 2022.

Let's be honest. Bama would have beaten Georgia in the National Championship Game if it wasn't for Bama's receiving room being decimated by injuries. Jameson Williams was absolutely torching Georgia's secondary (65 yards in just over a quarter of play) before he went down.

Alabama fans have always told us that injuries were no excuse in the past...

That was a complete failure by Saban. They only had 2 WRs in the room that were SEC caliber WR's.

UGA had injuries that season as well.

That's cute and everything, but if you want to have an excuse contest and talk about receivers, George Pickens actually turned out to be a better pro than Williams and Metchie (who plays in frigging Canada now), and Pickens was coming back from an ACL in the national title game and actually played way fewer snaps that Williams in the game.

While we're talking hypotheticals...I don't think Saban beats experienced year 8 coach Kirby in the 2017 natty & the 2018 SECCG.

Kirby was still very green and was outcoached...remember the fake with Justin Fields? That kind of stuff isn't happening again. I think the coaching braintrust UGA has now is equal to Bama's. In the past, Saban had a clear edge.

I probably won't need to remember this, but if I do need to

Georgia's best LBer out Saturday.
Third best WR out Saturday.
Best WR limited if not out Saturday.
TE not at 100 percent.
RG not at 100 percent.
