But unless you are forking over meaningful bucks to program, you have no right to be incensed.
The landscape has changed.
The sport will be the haves and the have nots.
In the current scenario, we are 'have nots'. We cannot match the top schools dollar for dollar in procuring top coaches, and now with NIL and the portal, top players and a solid roster.
In short, either start forking over big bucks or get used to being lower tier.
Money talks, bullshite walks.
Now, it's all about the money.

It most certainly won't be with a HC in position of leadership who was an OL coach for 40 years and OL is the worst position group on the team.

People with money aren't looking to part ways with money for someone running the program fitting that criteria.

I swear to god, if the big money donors really are die-hard Gus Bussers and are holding NIL because of that, then just f the program.

No offense, but piss off

We are top 20 in the entire collegiate athletic universe in money.

We just refuse to pay what the market demands.

It's 90% having a coach that exudes confidence and bleeds it over into his team, as well as having a guy that gets his players up to play and has excitement surrounding him. It's less about the recruiting stars than ever.

Look at OM right now. No reason they should be having the success they are (yes they just got blown out by UGA, but we'd kill for the season they're having), vs. Texas A&M with their top recruiting classes. It's all about the coaches and attitudes surrounding their programs.

Auburn should've been a win for us on paper, but their team had a confidence that ours completely lacked today. That's coaching.

It'll be a tall task but we HAVE to go out and get a young, exciting, hungry coach that inspires his players with confidence. We have to generate excitement to recruit and keep our decent players from entering the portal or we're toast. It's not impossible here and can be done with the right hire.

I just wish we would've hired Norvell or Kiffin when we had the chance. Hunter has a big task ahead of him and his job hangs in the balance.
