Imagine Will in this year's defense... whew.

And you're spot on with your Latu and Gibbs take.

If the team could get CONSISTENT O Line play, it'd be a much different story. But alas, we are where we are

Those people on the Bama board are pumping fool's gold. Truthfully, at this time we are closer to Clemson than UGA as a program. Saban has always succeeded when he had great coordinators. This season we have 1 very solid coordinator in Steele and a Fisher Price OC. Laugh now but cry later but look at Clemson's schedule. We wouldn't beat Florida State and it's questionable if we would beat Duke or Miami because both of those teams are stronger on both sides of the lines than anyone we've played this season save for Texas and both Duke and Miami's starting QBs are better than Quinn Ewers.

Offense has improved by a lot.
Defense is significantly worse, especially secondary.

Different team

The line has been consistently moving against bama all week. pretty silly to call this a lock when all the smart ppl in the room disagree with you.

The lock was LSU +7, which I got last week.

Our offense is very streaky but our run game is stout asf. It really all boils down to Milton and what kind of day he's going to have.

He played his best game of the year on the road against Kentucky and it allowed pur running game to open up. If he plays like that all season we should win out.

Last year Bama could have escaped Baton Rogue with a win had Saban not gone for two twice. To this day, I have no idea what led to those decisions but it cost us the game. And no, LSU fans, I'm not discrediting your win. I'm just adding to the OP's point.

However, I disagree with the rest. I think last year's Bama team was better and this year's LSU team is better. We've improved significantly on defense (in fact, this is our best defense since 2018). But we've regressed so far offensively without Bryce, it's alarming.

Not that our take matters because god knows what will happen when we actually play but my take is this:

Bama has a feast or famine offense. If the LSU secondary is really as bad as people are making it out we should be able to score on the deeper passes.

LSU has one of if not the best offense around so they will score, how much, I have no idea and I think that’s where this all hinges. Does Bama Def get a few stops and maybe do enough? Bama defense is probably the best we’ve had in years.

I think both fan bases will be incredibly frustrated in this game.

I think it’s a close game, probably more of a shootout type score but not high something like 35-38 or 41-38.

if we don’t score 40 we are toast, and i don’t even think bama’s offense is all that great

Perkins versus Proctor is a nightmare for Bama. Bama better help him a lot with TE and RB.

Defense wins tough games. If we show some life defensively we win. If not all the offense in the world won’t save us. We must pray for a subpar Milroe.

I kinda hope our shite DBs entice Bama to throw it about 40 times.

Not anymore, and even if it did they aren’t talented enough In scheme nor do LSU strengths play into their favor.

Gifted running QB's have given Saban fits, they do not fit his thought process. They make plays on fly and no one knows what a Johnny Football or a Daniels will do on the run

I think the key is Bama’s offense keeping our defense off the field. They need to move the chains and not rely only on big plays.
