Big difference going from Cheney to Enos as compared to Briles to Enos

Enos built upon Cheney’s base offense with a QB who fit what Enos wanted to do. This year, Enos changed the offense with a QB who was essentially at freshman-level when it comes to executing the type of offense Enos wants.

But we all expected and hoped that since KJ was a senior that Enos would be able to make it work right away. Was never going to happen. Enos should have been able to recognize this in Spring and either told Sam we need to go with a younger QB who we can build the future around or go grab an experienced QB in the portal who could run what Dan wanted, neither of which was ever going to happen.

Ultimately, it’s Sam’s responsibility to balance the needs of winning in the present and building to the future. He failed at striking the balance on both ends. We failed in the present, and we are back to square 1 as to the future. For that reason, I think he should have kept Enos and let Enos decide on the next QB. Instead, he scapegoated him, which is why I think Sam should be let go.

If you don’t think Enos is capable of building a successful offense and developing QB’s, you don’t know football.

Or Sam should have seen what he has and hire a coordinator who's scheme fits best.

Sam said he doesn't know what to do.

ALL of this. Sam chose a QB with a 7-13 record as a starter against the SEC over his OC. We're in flames right now.

All he's done is deter any OC worth a shite from giving this job a look and passed the offense onto a dude that's never called an offense before. All of this to keep a QB that can't read a defense on the field.

Sam should have fired the OL coach. He should have taken over his duties.

Firing Enos isn't fair when he didn't recruit these players to his offense and hasn't been here long enough to do so.

Sam should have did more research and talked with people than making an irrational hire that isn't the right offense for his players.

If it's true Dan was running one offense during practice and a different offense during the game, then he absolutely should have been fired.

Seemor was practice was always RPO centered, the games obviously not.

The offense has been called towards the weaknesses of the team since game 1 at some point you have to admit it is intentional.

You gotta play the hand your dealt. We're on national TV enough that he knew what he was getting. He failed to optimize and work with what he had.... Who wouldn't get fired at their job for that? Especially a job that pays what he made....
