Side note- I was 9 months old at the time, and trying to get my nap on.
Blocked punt, my lunatic parents go bananas and wake me up. I scream, they calmed me down and I went back to sleep.
Second block, bananas again. I haven't been the same since.

On the subject of PBP based parental damage - I was 2 in 1972 and cannot remember the game. But, of course, we lost the next 9 Iron Bowls in a row. My mother had a little record of the Auburn radio broadcast of the '72 game and every year from 1973-81, she sat me down and made me listen to it as soon as that year's game was over. There was a time I could recite it word-for-word and to this day I can probably recall most of it.
Today I tell people it was a form of abuse. I'm joking...mostly.

I was 4 days old...born November 28th 1972. I was a c-section baby, and my Mom was still in the hospital that Saturday. Needless to say, I frequently heard the stories growing up of them calling my Mom after each blocked punt, but all she could hear was yelling and commotion. Hell, I might have had another name those first 4 days, but after that I have been David for the rest of my life (Langner).
