The LSU-Mizzou game had an awful crew.

It is ridiculous to call it pre snap. Call it if it effects the snap OK. Every rule change for the last 20 years has been to help the offense. Pussifying football.

I think it’s becoming more prevalent because so many offenses go on a clap now.
Correct, and the rule now states that if the offense uses a clap count, nobody and ANY time on defense can clap. If you think about it you'll understand the fairness of the rule. Imagine the defense yelling snap counts while the offense is trying to run a play.

I understand when it’s a DL inches from the ball…but calling it on a linebacker 8 to 12 yards off the ball seems a little questionable

wasn't one called against LSU on the CB? dumb

What are you talking about? It's totally legal to shift the entire defensive line at once. The rule is about the noises the defense makes pre-snap.

Well you couldn’t be more wrong. It was called on UGA and will be called more.

New guidance definitely came out and I’m sure it’s due to coach complaints. League needs to issue guidance on what types of calls are legal for the defense. I get why clapping should not be allowed given how many offenses use a clap timing now.

No.
UGA was absolutely not penalized for shifting the defensive line.

You are the world's biggest simp for suggesting as such.

Congrats on your idiocracy life achievement.

This. Obviously, defenses are trying to verbally/sonically simulate the snap count/cadence.
