Lack of aggression prior to half time.

Having the ball, a full minute and time outs and not even trying to score made no sense to me. I put that on Bobo. I can't remember a similar failure since Kirby go here.

Beck damn near threw an INT. Seemed like classic Kirby (and the right call) to shut it down after that and regroup.

But then why call a TO with 10 secs left and they were obviously trying to run out the clock. We’re we really playing for a blocked punt?

Pettiness. Auburn did the same thing with no intention of attempting to score.

Blocked punt, bad snap, shank out of bounds a lot of bad stuff can happen for the punt team when you send the house.

Only thing I didn’t like was the indecisiveness. Run up middle on first. Trying to catch them off guard. If that play gets stuffed then just take it into half. Don’t try to all of a sudden get urgent. Choose aggression or not before the drive and stick to it.

The 4th and 2 at their 46 in the first half and Auburn had to call a timeout sort of showed how Kirby would coach the game. Could've come up with a good play during the timeout and put the offense out there instead of punting.
Yesterday felt like Kirby was coaching the game like he always coaches a Kentucky game, the ones where he knows the other team can't pass for shite and knows that the only way we can lose is if we turn it over and give the other team a short field.
It always works against Kentucky and it worked yesterday. But just barely.

99.9% of the coaches are punting after the timeout.
The odds are different before the timeout.

If Kirby had wanted to try to score he would have told Bobo and Bobo would have changed the play choice. To think that an OC or DC is autonomous is a huge misunderstanding that many on this bard has. Can an OC or DC try to talk a coach out of a decision? Yes. But the HC has the last say and the coordinators adjust to that.

We wanted to make them punt it.

Then why didn't we even have a return man back for that punt?
