Well, Beck threw the ball as if it was more of a skinny post instead of a laser over Delps head. It wasn't even close to catchable watch it again

You don’t throw a laser when you have man in trail . You throw it over the man in trail since the receiver has the advantage of seeing the ball and the defender does not. I just watched it again 6 times. Delp does not track it and adjust his route until the ball is almost on him.

Beck threw the Delp deep ball to the inside because the defender was in the line of flight. I blame Delp just as much as Beck for that incompletion. Delp could have veered to open space or, maybe, adjusted to the ball. The pass wasn't far out of reach.
