Tim Keenan has been a monster so far this year in the run defense game. It seemed as if he was more disruptive Saturday than Dale was his whole career.

Dale was pretty good as a freshman but injuries derailed his career. I’ve been more than impressed with Keenan. James Smith looks to be even better though.

I think they've done well but none of them are elite; at least not yet. They're about where their recruiting rankings placed them.

I think Keenan has exceeded the expectations of many fans. If I remember correctly he was thought of as an overweight project who at best was projected to be a role player. Keenan is looking like he has the makings of being a star.

Yes. I thought that Keenan was a major project when we signed him. I honestly thought that would be one who might transfer at some point especially with James Smith coming on board. But he has looked very solid thus far and has a chance to make another solid start this weekend.

Wonder how Dale would have performed under a better defensive coordinator?

If you mean Damon Payne, he's been playing some.

I think he would’ve benefited being under Steele. Kevin Steele has always wanted to push the pocket from the interior.

Definitely was expecting big things from that kid. This is his 3rd year, isn't it?

This question is to anyone. Will these young burgeoning players be what keeps Freddie Roach at Bama?
