No SEC vs SEC game should ever be…

.. scheduled for a kickoff past the 7:30 ET slot. I just noticed that Bammer and State is scheduled for 9pm ET kickoff next Saturday. Absolutely ridiculous. There are lots of people who for many reasons can’t stay up past midnight to watch the game. 9pmET is for mountain and pacific time teams. WTF is up with that?

It is strange they have this match up in the prime slot. I expected it to be early morning tbh.

Of course no one really cares about that game accept for Bama and state fans, so give it the 12:00 ET slot then. That sucks too but at least people can watch the game. My grandparents are diehard fans and look forward to the games on Saturday. They are not able to stay up and watch that game end past midnight and then do church Sunday morning. It’s just stupid. Almost everyone who has any interest in watching that game is in CT or ET zones and they put it in a MT/PT slot. Shitty for the fans and just doesn’t make any sense.

I'd like to see a graph on which SEC schools have played the most 11 AM starts. Pretty sure I know who the leader is.

Agreed. People making jokes but how would they like it if they weren’t able to watch their team play next Saturday because of a 9pm start. It sucks and I don’t understand how it makes any sense that it’s scheduled for that time when almost all of us are in CT & ET zones. It’s BS

Personally I am cool with the late kick. Maybe because I don’t go to many games anymore and don’t have to make that late night drive home.

Maybe they were thinking of the thousands of fans who work at a job on Saturday morning, have family commitments during that time, or need to do yard work?
