Was Milroe suspended for the South Florida game?

Forgive me if this has already been discussed. I have YouTube on in the background and after one video ended, it went to Josh Pate’s late show after all the games Saturday night. In the 1st couple of minutes he said he felt pretty confident that Milroe was suspended for the game.
Not just because it was the most likely explanation for why he didn’t play at all with how bad the other 2 struggled, it sounded like he’d heard something. Granted, this was 7 days ago, but I was curious as to why he would have been suspended and if this has been confirmed as either true or false on here this week.

a bama fan told me that he was. I don't think he was and think Saban wanted to see what the other 2 could do in a game he knew they would win.

Yes, but you'll never hear about it.

Josh Pate can do commentary but dude does not know shite that's going on in any SEC program.

You don’t go from 1 to 3 on depth chart in one game
And when your backup stinks you don’t switch to an even less experienced backup
I believe he was suspended but the notion BAMA Olin’s didn’t block is ridiculous

I mean, it makes sense. With how quickly he went away from him after a loss to a pretty good Texas team with a really good DL, how he allowed both QBs to struggle and keep South Florida in the game until way later than they should have been, and how early in the week he announced Milroe was back as the starter.
Suspension does make the most sense. I was just curious if it was something he may have done last week or if it was an in-house suspension for something he did in the offseason and they chose last week as the game for him to serve it.

Unless you're sick of your entitled fanbase and have decided to force them to realize you know better.

Only thing I’ve heard is they are trying to get JT Daniel’s as a mid-season transfer.

He was suspended, although a Bama fan on here told me it was so he could learn to be a leader from the sideline which is among the most ludicrous things I've read here.

Rumor on local radio in Birmingham was that Milroe was out clubbing after the loss to Texas until all hours of the night. Probably had something to do with him not playing at all against South Florida.

This is true and false. Saban did that once at LSU against Ole Miss in 02 while Mauk was injured. Marcus started the game and he puts in Rick Clausen for one series. He threw 2 ducks and he pulled him for Randall again.

Lol. He’s a RS Sophomore
He’s had plenty of time to be a leader from the sideline

Where's the false part?
Anyway, this is not unusual for coaches when the fanbase clamors for the backup. They have big egos. They'll do the "there. this is what you wanted" thing.
And sometimes it backfires. That's how we got Richardson to start and it's why Dan Mullen did it against the best team/defense we faced all season.
Stubborn ego.

I like Pate, but am not a regular listener, so I have no idea what kind of inside sources he may or may not have. But even if he has none, it’s not an uneducated guess considering how that game played out.
They have done it either way, but if he was suspended, I think it points to them just riding him the rest of the way and trying to hang on to a 9-3(ish) season. Neither one of those 2 from Saturday will be starting next year, if they’re even on the roster. Not sure it will ever make sense to go to either one of them if they’re not the future. Which they clearly aren’t.

No, he wasn't suspended
he was likely benched, but that isn't a suspension. One comes from shitty on field performance, the other stems from shitty off field performance. I've been suspended at Alabama before

Did you see him on the sideline during the USF game? Dude was yawning, stretching and have ZERO cares about getting into that game or being a "leader on the sideline".
