The other 33 rushes gained a grand total of 49 yards. I don’t even know if Kurt Anderson was that bad.

Dubinion is averaging 3.7 ypc this season. Johnson is averaging 3.0 ypc this season.

AJ Green is averaging 6.8 ypc this season.

Dubinion has carried the ball 26 times. Johnson has carried the ball 12 times. 38 times between the two. Dubinion and Johnson carried the ball a combined 15 times in the BYU game. AJ Green carried the ball 9 times.

This is the issue...Rocket and AJ need to be the RB duo...there is no 4 man rotation and there should not be a rotation other than Green and Sanders. In the Enos offese, Green will be the better runner and his carries should increase going forward.

I doubt that happens, because this head coach or RB coach seems to have something for Johnson and Dubinion.

Smith is a Georgia guy and dubinion is from Georgia. I believe that is why they are giving him Carry’s

I don't want to see Dom Johnson carry the ball again. He has zero burst.

AJ Green should be the featured back and use him extensively in the passing game.

He is soft and stiff.

He caught a pass the other night and had a 180 pound DB one on one…the DB made him look like a 125 pound RB and lost two yards.

Which is weird since he’s anything but soft as a blocker. Just don’t think he has the change of direction he used to have

I think his injuries took a lot out of him. He was really good that year he was healthy

2021 highlights LINK

He had 5.9 ypc and that was an RB by committee year. It wasn’t clear whether he or Sanders was the better RB at the time, but his injuries meant that Sanders became the guy

Call me crazy but I don’t think this stat is that strange. Most of the time around half your running plays are going to go for no or very small gain. Plus I believe QB sacks still go down as rushing plays

no that’s still really really bad. You want most of your running plays to go for 3 or 4 with the occasional pop play on top

You may want that but it doesn't happen that regularly. The average YPC is always heavily skewed by big plays.

In the NFL if you remove the top ~10% of rushing gains, you end up with an average of around 2.7 yards most seasons. If you remove the top 30% it ends up around 1.5 per carry

So we're removing 6 of our 39 rush plays, a little over 15%. So for a typical team we'd be thinking ~2 yards per carry on those 33.

Instead we had a 1.5 ypc average on those 33. A tiny amount lower than you'd expect, but not very much at all - especially considering we're a run heavy team

How do we know AJ Green just wasn’t lucky on a scheme? Dubinion has done better every game except this one, IMO.

I don't think there's much evidence of that if you go by the stats, if you mean rushing alone. Dubinion might be a better pass blocker, I really don't know

AJ Green 823 yards, 5.1 yards per carry
Dubinion 389 yards, 4.0 yards per carry

And I'm skeptical of this. Dubinion had a pretty bad whiff allowing KJ to get strip sacked in the 4th quarter

The guy has averaged over 5 ypc for his career at Arkansas. Averages 11 yards per on receptions as well.
