Man, I think any criticism of Rees is too early. But, folks are acting like he's terrible.

Did we just not do this less than a year ago...lol. just bring back the old posts, save us the time!

Won't matter because Saban will probably just replace him with Dave Radar given the string of poor coordinator hires he's on (with the exception of Steele).

Way too early. Need to correct line play before judging him. OL was bad last year but Bryce could make plays despite them. Personally I'd like to see a manageable line before giving judgement on Rees.

Then look no further than his time at Notre Dame where the most consistent aspect of his offenses were underperforming in scoring and output. In 40 games as an OC, Rees' offenses hit 50+ just twice. Over 50% of his drives resulted in zero points. His offenses were held to 20 or fewer points half the time vs ranked teams.
Alabama had more explosive plays last season alone than Rees had in three years as an OC at ND.
Keep in mind this was against vastly inferior competition that SEC teams would devour. And that's the most alarming aspect.
And Pete Golding, arguably the worst DC of the Saban era, held Rees' offense to 7 points up until the final minute of the game in 2020. And remember that 2020 defense literally surrender 40+ points against Dan Mullen in the previous game.
And then there's the fact that his offense couldn't even muster more than 17 points against a team whose defense was clowned on by an HBCU and annihilated by WKU last week. You can't blame that catastrophe on talent.
So how many years do we give him to convince you guys he isn't qualified to be our OC since the three prior years ar ND strangely weren't convincing enough? Four as we did with Golding and Shula? Because four years of Rees will truly usher in the end of the dynasty.

If the Giants keep playing like crap, bringing back Daboll would probably be a good option.

The Giants are 1-1 and made the playoffs last year.
Rees has looked terrible the last 2 games. We'll see what he cooks up for Milroe against Ole Miss. If he fails with that, then yeah, he needs to go. The problem is Saban and co will blame the offensive line woes for incompetence at OC and keep him around another year.

I get the whole not calling any bootlegs or rollouts for Milroe, and I agree, but if our players had have executed the plays against Texas, and/or not gotten penalties, we would have easily put up 40+ points.
The USF game? Our QBs could hardly complete a forward pass at all.

The O-Line is the main problem! Center not snapping consistently, RG is soft and gets pushed around, LT is a true freshman that is too big to handle pass pro
They are too heavy there is a reason no NFL line weighs that much

Have Art Briles legally change his name, grow a duck dynasty beard , and give him a contract.

That falls on coaching. One could easily make the same argument about the players under Golding and Shula and the folks on BOL always blamed the players under Golding and not Golding himself until last season.
Execution will be a recurring issue under Rees, especially against ranked teams (and I'm basing this on his track record).

I reckon, but its hard to blame Rees for Milroe overthrowing a wide open WR, or a throwing it to the wrong shoulder, or a dumb penalty bringing back a touchdown.

Sark but nobody is going to have success with the o-line and QB room we currently have on campus.

McElwain
I want an OC that puts the QB under center. At least our OL would put their hand in the dirt and fire out to hit somebody.

OL coach should be the first firing.

Let's wait a few more games before judging Rees. He's only had 3 games as our OC. I have my reservations about him but let's see how it plays out the next few games.
