The defense has created 7 turnovers.
We’ve turned it over 7 times.
If we can win turnover margin, we can win several games.
I bet Brother Hugh is emphasizing this for our first SEC road game.

Absolutely. After 2 bad fumbles against Cal I'm sure it was a major point of emphasis.
I can also promise there are open tryouts on the team for punt returner right now. Securing the catch>return yards.

I don't really know that emphasizing turning the ball over or not turning the ball over as a game week point of emphasis is really impactful. It's got to be a day in, day out point of emphasis all the way through the program. You can coach defense and call blitzes in a way to force turnovers and you can call safe offensive plays and max protections to limit turnovers I guess

Time to internalize our former coach John Heisman's famous quote on this subject:
"Better to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football"

his kicks were so short that their return team was almost always right there by the time the ball reached our returners
plus they were weird fluttering things that looked extremely difficult to catch cleanly
who knew that a shitty punter was an advantage

Yea, his punts were awful. Seeing them in the stadium, they were like knuckleballs.

like someone else said, better to face that issue against Samford than against TAMU
