Bamas less than mediocre season is the same as A&M’s greatest

The 80’s and 90s Bama was bad. Very bad.

But still managed to win a nation Championship so still way better than anything Aggies are able to achieve.

Friendly Aggie reminder:

After Bryant retired, they went 149-56-2 in the 80s and 90s. Dumbass.

yet they still won a NC in 1992 and multiple conference championships..

some teams (looking at you) would be quite happy to just win the division once in two decades

Very bad? Bruh they only had like two losing seasons in 20 years, won 28 games in a row and of course an NC and multiple SEC titles. They even finished the regular season undefeated in 94. Goddamn even Dumbass DuBose won an SEC title.

You guys talk about Alabama fans having unrealistic expectations but damn we don't consider the 80s and 90s as "very bad" like you guys do

Bama wasn't "very bad" until the early to mid 2000s. The 80s and 90s were lit.

Lol explain. They won a national championship and had mostly 8+ win seasons during the two decades. Some bad years by today’s standards but only a few really bad years. The early 2000s were rough

Were they? Let's investigate:

1980: 10-2
1981: 9-2-1 (SEC champions)
1982: 8-4
1983: 8-4
1984: 5-6
1985: 9-2-1
1986: 10-3
1987: 7-5
1988: 9-3
1989: 10-2 (SEC champions)

1990: 7-5
1991: 11-1
1992: 13-0 (SEC champions; National champions)
1993: 9-3-1
1994: 12-1
1995: 8-3
1996: 10-3
1997: 4-7
1998: 7-5
1999: 10-3 (SEC champions)

That 20-year-period, as "down" as it is by Alabama standards, rivals the success of the entire history of the Texas A&M football program.
