NIL and transfer portal has made it easier for other college teams to catch up to the Alabamas of the world , who were otherwise giving elite players money underneath the table.

Saban has yet to adapt to that.

Kind of hard to retain multiple five-star quarterbacks, on your team, when every one of them wants to be playing and chasing money and glory somewhere else.

This. Multiple 5 star, superstar players will not sit the bench for years waiting their turn now. It's much easier to go somewhere and get a starting position, plus NIL.

True, but since I don't play in the games, I can't do anything else. So jealous hatred it is.

I absolutely cannot stand Saban.

Mostly because of all his whining every offseason about something new. I don't find him likable whatsoever. Don't care to hear him speak. I lost whatever respect I had left for him last season when he basically took up for his WR hitting a woman on the field. Basically put the blame on her and said his player was afraid. I think he's a pos and wouldn't feel that way if it had been his own daughter. I also find him to be shadier than most.

I would not be at all surprised if Saban takes a shot at bringing Nuss in through the portal.

Why would Nuss wait for his turn at LSU only to leave once the spot was opened up for him? I don't understand this whatsoever.

QB recruiting rankings are notoriously bad. Too much reliance on measurables. QB is the one position where measurables matter the least. DJ Uiagalelei has all of the measurables but has been largely a disaster. Stetson Bennett was too small for everyone yet won two national titles.

I hate the Gumps but no matter the chaos at the QB position this team is still dangerous. Goes to show no matter the talent you need a competent QB. That has been our our issue sporadically through the years.

Because there are Bangkok madams proffering teenage twat from back alley brothels who run their businesses more ethically than how he does things in Tuscaloosa

You guys need to be careful with the criticism... Rees is Kelly's hand picked protege. He coached him, gave him his first two big college breaks ...and Kelly always looks out for his guys.. he already tried to get him to go to LSU once...

He's likely your next QB coach...

Why? They are trying to find the right guy. No preseason.

and you have proof?

Because EVERY major football program skirts the rules, and have for decades. I witnessed it firsthand at LSU in the mid-80s when i was a student.

We’re no different than they are. They’ve just been more successful, and you’re lashing out. It’s childish.

You don’t think he tried this past offseason?

If so those of you who have little respect for Garrett's talents may have occasion to reevaluate his game.

Who on here doesn’t have respect for Nuss’s talent?

When you continually recruit 5 stars just because they’re “5 stars” and don’t develop them that’s what you get! Bill O’Brien set Bama back big time!!!

Sorry
Didn’t mean to say they were handed championships
Was referring to players who go there just because they are almost guaranteed a natty while they are there due to recruiting

I think little Nicky knew it was coming to an end. That’s why he bought that mansion on that island in Florida. It wasn’t just bad quarterback play. They were other positions that looked vulnerable

The last time LSU beat Bama in back to back seasons was 2010 and 2011. Hope it happens again this year.

They would have won by 30 with Milroe today

I think Saban was proving a point yesterday, like giving the BAMA fans the finger...

Makes no sense that they wouldn't put Milroe in that game as bad as it was going..

Maybe he actually is a man of his word and he gave the job to someone else for a game because he earned a legitimate shot to prove himself. Maybe he cares more about his integrity than winning.

That’s hard for longhorns to understand. But winning isn’t everything.
