Good post. No way we expected to lose almost everyone. The financials don’t make sense for such a mass exodus

5. Wolford has been given carte blanche? One of those power of the enlightened few deals where nobody gets to stand in his way? If you’re Joe Bugel and built the mid-80’s Redskins O-line then knock yourself out, but Wolford is what exactly?

Curne, Adams, and Echols aren’t just “some guys”. I think fans are being dismissive in terms of their future prospects

I’m not sure Wolford has the skins on his wall to be kicking so many to the curb.
Jumping to conclusions a bit here?

Really

It’s hard for me to believe that they miss evaluated that many highly recruited guys.

This is the perplexing thing, we got guys that we had to fight off the biggest schools in the country for, and we made chicken sh!t out of chicken salad.
Downvoted because there’s no need to sh!t on the player with your snide headline

didn't we recruit him for defense?

Davis best punt catcher I’ve ever seen. Was effortless,

My vote goes to Faulk when it comes to catching punts. His range was sideline to sideline and he could charge to field the short ones and retreat to field the deep ones. He got an unbelievable jump on the ball and teams could not kick it away from him even when they tried. Do love me some DD as well.
The OP got a bunch of smartass answers but it is a good question. The OL and TE's he had drafted under his watch was awesome. When he was hired 9 out of 10 LSU fans would have said that his history with OL and TE's was what had them excited about the hire. The dropoff in this facet of his coaching was stupendous.
It’s hard to get accustomed to watching a player you project as a good one portal when their line of progression seems right on track right on pace. When things are going well why not stay?

I would've been pretty content with Curne and Echols both starting at Guard next season.

The loss of these two is throwing the baby out with the bath water. I get it that there’s a new sheriff in town, but this guy Wolford doesn’t have the notches on his gun to disappear young talent like these two
Miles underutilized Ware to a malpractice degree. He was so much more than a battering ram. Miles wanted from Ware a James Stamply type when he could have had from Ware an Edwards-Helere career
Not the good kind of attrition
after every year, guys on a traditional track to being drafted after three years, are entering the portal for a pay raise. Continuity can be good for a player’s development, and sticking around is great for the team. Will this “hello I’m gone” bit ever stop? Or is progressing at one school a thing of the past? The NFL cares little for a kid’s loyalty, so no help there. There was a time when we could look at our roster and say “ok we took our lumps but we’re a year away or we’re two years away”. Not any more fosters turn over and flip more than a Vegas whore.

He didn’t look different

To contradict your take, Todd McClure was interviewed, he gushed over Curne calling him “just different” so I’ll take the opinion of a guy who played thirteen years in NFL

This is a big loss. This player will start the next 25 plus games, and it looks like we’re going to have to go against him.
I have no idea why the OP got 124 downvotes for asking this question. He tinkered with Ole Miss’s uniforms from the start. Between the navy blue, the powder blue, the red jerseys, the two different blue jerseys one with white numbers one with red numbers, the gray pants, the white pants, Lane created a dizzying number of combinations. Will he mix-and-match to the same degree at LSU? I hope not.

Should have been done decades ago. Give them their own playoff not an invite to the Rapid Tax Relief Bowl
