Giving up the last three runs without a hit was ridiculous. 7th and 8th innings: 3 Runs No hits One error 7 Walks 3 wild pitches

To tigger42day thank you. Your numbers above justified me going to bed early.

Looking at some of UGA's transfers they definitely didn't break the bank for those guys They just hit on a bunch of under the radar guys from mid majors

This is the maddening part of it. Utah Valley and Wofford vs Grand Canyon and Xavier. How in God’s name can anyone figure out who will be ready for the SEC and who will wilt?

His regression

From a team perspective it’s unreal that him and Noot gave us so much last June, and this year those two have been off listening to the echo returns.

thirteen names for 27 outs. Your guess is as good as mine. Fans like us will probably need four hours for this one today. Now is the time to shake off the underperformance and deliver: see Paz yesterday

Special mention to Dalton Beck who nearly decapitated a Tennessee pitcher to allow Jared Jones to walk them off.

Sorry to hijack. Too bad he couldn’t get approved to return this year. Wonder what he’s up to these days?
Friendlyobservation, if you think Jay is going to jettison serna and/or Cade, then you’ve got another thing coming.

He is on a long list of players who took a step back in 2026. The talk was of him being the Sunday guy. That was eons ago
I don’t know except that Jay is all in on 2027?

No because we’re thankfully not A&M

Dardar, Yorke, Caraway weren't all conference guys

Poorly researched. Dardar was honorable mention all Big 12, yorke was second team all-wac, caraway wasn’t in a conference.

gems he got from Utah Valley, Indiana State, San Diego state, and Wofford

Great post, and who can and who can’t step up to SEC-level competition is the million dollar question. I’m stumped. The Grand Canyons and High Points of the world seem similar to the mid-major schools above that we’ve crushed it with.

Don’t forget as part of the fielding woes the poor receiving by the catchers

these PG 10 guys that he has been recruiting and get them on the field early enough so that they don’t transfer out

This. I believe this year he has identified Serna and Braun and a couple of others as must-keeps. He’s likely as angry with who walked as he is with who we acquired.

would be nice if someone like Paz or Noot could step up

This would be huge. There’s still time for these guys to gain jay’s confidence
