as far as entertainment. The TV thinks he is just so dang funny and interesting he cant sniff a good line from Spurrier or miles on his best day.

It is clear Deion knows what he is doing then, got all of you talking about him.

Spurrier was witty. Miles was just a buffoon

One of these is not like the others. Is that where your logic is coming from?

Hate nothing more nothing less.

True. I don’t recall Miles or Spurrier getting a touchdown in the NFL and hitting a home run in the MLB in a span of a few days.

As a player, Deion was an over the top obnoxious a-hole and he ate the hate like candy. He also didn't always play well with others.
He doesn't seem very different as a coach.

None of them could hang with the late Pirate Mike Leach...His "Fat Little Girlfriends" speech talking about his players actual girlfriends at Texas Tech was the best..

Maybe he meant to say Leach and not Les Miles. An empty jug of milk was more entertaining than Les Miles.

Some of you need to learn to separate the feelings you have with how the media treats someone vs feelings about the subject they are covering.
Is the media obsession with Deion overblown and ridiculous? Absolutely.
But…. Deion Sanders is one of the most gifted, talented playmakers and showmen to ever play the game of football. What he’s done at Colorado is simply amazing. The coaching staff he built at Colorado is first class. The program and team he’s building is remarkable.
You can appreciate what Deion Sanders is doing without being jaded by the way the media is treating it all.

Sanders clearly knows how to get the job done. He also rubs people the wrong way and doesn't care. His players don't seem to care. I doubt his school's fans do, either.
Spurrier had a lot of that too. Leach was more entertaining but didn't do as much needling. Les Miles just ate grass and doesn't belong in this discussion.

I would withold judgement until they actually play "someone" like a real blue blood and beat them. But, so far they look pretty good and he has them believing...
I mean i've seen coaches like Tom Herman do miraculous crap like beat Georgia in the Sugar Bowl with an average Texas team, or when he was at UH he had some wins against decent teams he had no business beating..I wouldn't say he's a good coach though, just knew how to rally the troops. But, he also found ways to lose to crappy teams eventually when other coaches figured him out.

I have never seen a coach get the pub Deion gets. He is shown daily doing something.

There will never be another Spurrier.
I still think his Florida teams were scarier than anything I've seen in the SEC since. Only those Meyer and Tebow teams gave me the same feeling of dread.
Imagine if Spurrier stayed at Florida his entire career instead of going to SC. He would have at least one more national championship imo probably two more.

I think it's just his personality. He's mastered thriving off it. He's an a-hole to be sure. There will always be enough people in the world that react to him.

Desmond Howard rips Jay Norvell over Deion Sanders comments

Desmond Howard and the rest of the ESPN College GameDay crew are in Boulder this weekend for the Colorado-Colorado State matchup.
A game that seems likely to end in a blowout drew not just College GameDay, but the Pat McAfee Show, First Take, and FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff. Everyone wants in on the Deion Sanders mania. And that includes coaches who are going against him.
CSU’s Jay Norvell made headlines this week by seemingly calling out Sanders. Norvell said on CSU’s coaches show he was raised to “take my hat and sunglasses off” when he talks to “grown-ups.” Sanders has appeared in front of the media multiple times wearing a hat and sunglasses.
Ahead of gameday, Howard and the other ESPN panelists met with local reporters in Boulder to talk about the game. Of course, he was asked about Norvell’s comments.
“You talk about a guy who doesn’t swear, doesn’t drink, doesn’t smoke, doesn’t use drugs, he’s a great example for young men and women, and you wanna sit there and talk about if he had on shades and a hat? Like how petty and ridiculous are you to go there about that?” Howard said, per CU Sports Report’s Nikki Edwards.
“Like, you a grown-arse man and you sit there and that’s what you wanna talk about? Why does that even bother you? Shouldn’t your attention be on something else? How is your team doing? How are your players doing?”
Sanders has leaned into the shade throughout the week. He addressed his team about it during practice, and then handed out sunglasses to every player in a team meeting.
“I’m assuming at this point (Norvell) wants to apologize for that,” Howard continued.
