Some internet message board genius said that we would be “very sloppy”.

We will continue to be sloppy until the offense gets on the same page. Once it starts clicking then the offense will score a lot of points. All 11 players have to be in sync and that’s not happening.

Where is the blame? All over the starting lineup last night had 10 new starters on offense and the 1 returner starter was playing his first game of the season. It’s time to go hard this week and go full speed a couple practices and get the starters on the same page

I'm thinking our offense might start to mesh together this week against Samford. Late 4th Quarter was when our offense got together and looked like a somewhat legit offense.

It will come when it comes. And we could beat Samford playing opposite handed. We could score 70 and still not be correctly running the base offense.

So all the people that is complaining about a vanilla offense please stop. You have to be able to run base before you move to complex.

Yeah..: I’ll withhold further judgment when we’re not playing a game 2k miles away at 9:30 at night.

Somebody hire this man from his 5th grade baseball coaching gig so he’ll stop seeking validation from stating the obvious

There were things like holding onto the ball that needs to be cleaned up but this was as much a trap game as you could have. There’s a reason they wanted to play it so late in that time zone, jet lag like crazy and time shift. I think that we win the game by several scores if it is 4 or 5 hours earlier in the day.

“They” meaning Cal doesn’t decide the game time the TV networks do.

The playing at 930 bullshite has to stop. These dudes are 18-22 years old.

Issue isn’t the time, it’s that an east coast team went out to Cal. Heck it was 730 PST which isn’t unreasonable there.

Blame the idiots Greene and Harsin.

It's not bullshite. If you don't think that a 2 hour time shift and playing WAY out of your normal hours wouldn't have an effect, you're an idiot. 18-22 year olds can stay up late no doubt. But they won't be at optimal performance level doing it.

We all have to keep expectations in check. We just had a coach that set us back more than any I can remember. It’s not going to be perfect or even good right off the bat.

Corch is right dude.

They are kids and not adults. I just umpired a softball midnight madness tournament and these girls literally played until 3 in the morning. When I was in HS, we did football camp had 4 a-days and the morning and night sessions at 8 O' clock sessions were nothing but conditioning. I am pretty sure the kids can adjust to the time change. Just be thankful the kids you support do not have to travel cross country all the time. Hell I have been to many softball tournaments with wait times more strenuous times than what our players had to endure. Try playing at 9am. Doing a double header sometime around noon-3 and then doing the championship finale sometime around 8 or 9 at night.

I GUESS WHAT I AM SAYING IS STOP YOUR BITCHING. Our QB sucks. Thats why our performance sucked. Our coaching sucked. Did you not see Freeze squat on the ball when the ball was more than questionably out. Get back to the drawing board, Warfarer. You did not wake up and become 1-0 today.

They supposedly got to California Thursday after 7 hours of bus and plane travel. Big fricking deal. They should have been able to adjust just fine to the time zone change if they stayed up and watched some movies Friday. They did not technically play at 9:30.
