So it was literally about ego. TAMU's fragile ego was so hurt that mean old Texas would do such a thing.

I still have yet to see a single aggie admit that they would have jumped on an ESPN network offer. I would like to just hear one of you admit it can you do that?

It was a great deal for Texass. Don't blame them a bit. I would have done the same if A&M could have landed that kind of a deal with ESPN. No doubt about it.

Timeline of Conference Realignment

1994 - PAC tries to poach Colorado and Texas from newly formed Big 12
2010 - Oklahoma and Texas court admission into the PAC
2011 - PAC denies OU and UTA’s admission to the league
2011 - Colorado and Nebraska leave the Big 12
2012 - Mizzou and A&M leave the Big 12

Other than all those other points of data, you nailed it, OP.

Good job.

Texass should have joined the Pac anyway. That would be working out great now wouldn't it?

Absolutely not, and I'm thankful for TAMU's tantrum.

Every university would have done it at the time. And all would’ve failed.

It’s a dumb idea and it was easily obvious to anyone at the time that it was a dumb idea. ESPN didn’t have enough brains to comprehend it.

It was a bribe to keep us out of PAC/FOX's hands. It was never meant to be a successful product.

It didn’t cash flow on either side. Good effort on the propaganda, though.

Of course A&M voted with Texass on just about everything money related. Didn't have anything to do with us joining the SEC.

Do you read your own posts? Exit had nothing to do with ego

I see you agree with me. My point was A&M didn't leave because of anything Texas did with the Big 12.

It was all about not wanting to have the image of being tied to Texas or appearing to need Texas. It was all ego driven. If A&M was offended by texas actions, that is an ego issue. It all goes back to A&M's pride.

Except we didn't beg to get in fricktard.

And, unless you're as stupid as your post, you know that Colorado and Nebraska moved first. Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech tried to move to the Pac 12.

If half the SEC was moving or trying to move and none of those schools were Ole Miss your sorry asses would have looked elsewhere too.

Arkansas left the SWC out of concern that texas and aggie would leave and we’d be left in a shite conference somewhere. Can’t blame mizzou for taking the offer, it was a no brainer.

Missouri tried to go to the Big 10 for a couple decades, including immediately prior to joining the SEC. Missouri's only option was the SEC. They couldn't stay in the Big 12 when the Big 10 turned them around and the SEC was the only league in need of a team to match with A&M. The ACC exit requirements prevented SEC expanding East and there you go, MU is in the SEC.

I guess you are right. Except for trying to destroy the B12 by bringing 4 B12 teams to the PAC they didn’t really do anything wrong. B12 would have thrived with Texass, A&M, OU, etc gone.

Great post by the way!

You should do the math on the value Ole Miss believes to the SEC numb nuts.

You will most likely find Ole Miss to be a net detractor in value. Meaning, you take way more revenue than you actually deliver.

Misery should have gone to the Sun Belt or Mountain West if they were so unhappy. Not the SEC.
Misery is never gonna be accepted. Neither is A&M.
