It’s time for this fanbase to go all in behind Milroe.

He’s our QB and he deserves everyone’s support. Saban wants Milroe to run away with the job, and he’s giving him a chance to. The coaching staff knows what he’s capable of if everything clicks.
Milroe has a chance to be one of the most likable QBs ever. This is a fun team with so many question marks. I’m more excited for Bama football than I have been in a while.
Not knowing what to expect is fun.

For tomorrow. Per Saban

I agree 100%
I’m excited for the competition. Hopefully Milroe has more of a Jalen hurts start rather than a Blake Barnett or Cooper Bateman one.

Man let it go. Milroe is our QB. We better hope he does well because there is a reason he is the outright starter.

I hope his first play isn't like Hurts first play against USC.

It’s what Saban said buddy. Cream will rise to the top when the lights come on. The QB job is open still. Milroe is the 1st man up.
I mean have you not watched Bama over the past 10+ years when the QB battle goes past camp?
AJ vs P Sims?
B Sims vs Coker?
Coker vs Bateman?
Barnett vs Hurts?
Heck even throw Hurts vs Tua in there if you want?
Saban loves competition and you best believe it is still on if Milroe lays an egg.

You don't know why Saban said that.
For all you know he wants to make sure the backups don't mass transfer and leave us with no one feasible.
If Milroe can be accurate and get through his reads well he would probably be one of the best QBs in the country just because he is legitimately scary when given any space.

Surely you don’t believe that.

I hope you are right but that’s a big IF

If almost anyone but OP posted this, I would upvote/agree.

I am all in with Milroe. He is our best option today. Have always thought that. He will have to completely shite the bed to. lose my vote.

I don't think Saban wants Milroe to run away with it, he wants all the QBs to improve and push each other, then see who gives the team the best chance to win. At least, that is what he consistently says.
You have made it clear that you want Milroe to run away with it however. Don't get what you want and what Saban wants confused.
If the Alabama fan base has shown anything, it's that we want to win. If Milroe plays well and can win us ballgames, every fan will be behind him. If he doesn't, the back-ups will be the most popular players on the team.

If he's progressed beyond 1 read and tuck and run, he has a chance. We'll see. He can run, sure, and that's probably enough most Saturdays...but not when you get to LSU, maybe Texas and definitely Georgia.
Nebraska's QB last night reminded me of 2022 Milroe. I hope the 2023 version is vastly improved.

I think you'll see us challenge Milroe with the playcalling tomorrow, it's his job to take
This is USC 2015 all over again with a different cast

If Milroe does well people will magically forget so many were against him and refused the idea he is the guy.

Everyone would love for Milroe to play like an elite QB.
However, we've seen Milroe for 2 years now, and he's got a lot to prove as a passer.
Alabama fans just want to win, so we want whichever QB gives us the best chance. No reason to get all attached to one guy before the season starts when Saban has kept saying this competition is ongoing. The Texas game will show us which QB we need out there

This isn't true. That is my point

I have been for him since the start. What are you getting at? Are you trying to say that people don't give him a chance because of his race?
