Off topic here, but how many people here agree with me that SAS is the MOST influential sports media personality in the USA. The man knows his basketball and football, and he has many high profile athletes and coaches on his contact list. I always enjoy listening to his opinions.

I appreciate him taking a giant shite on wokESPN when he can.

His delivery puts me off. The screaming is not my cup of tea so much that I do not even listen to what he has to say.

Agree. Sometimes his extreme theatrics make him come across as a buffoon. But when he sticks to sports, he's top notch.

You mean the racist pos that is always whining about "inequality for blacks in the NFL", when the league is 75-80% black?
That Stephen A. Smith? Yeah, piss on him. He sees racism behind every corner. The only people who scream race 24/7 are racists.

Umm, no.
Also, totally not an alter.

He's a proud African American. Nothing wrong with that. He calls it like he sees it.

Huh.

He is one of ESPN'S top basketball experts. He can hold his own in football, too. Just ask ex-SEC standout, Marcus Spears.

Don’t know if he’s the most influential but when he is not playing his ESPN character, he can be very good and insightful.

Exactly. I watch First Take all the time. Smith is worth the millions he makes. I would like to see him as a guest commentator on Game Day.

He’s great when he’s not screaming. The problem is that’s only about 20% of the time, which makes him largely unwatchable.
NBA countdown is the only time I enjoy watching him. He doesn’t do his first take screaming act.

I can’t stand listening to him. All that screaming is so unprofessional. I change the channel when he starts his yelling.

Most? Not even close. Influential, sure.

Most influential at ESPN. Finebaum would agree with me. Would love to hear SAS take calls on the Finebaum show.

Something is wrong with you people. A grown man projecting out with that ego would get his azz kicked almost any other place he started to run his mouth. Smith makes Howard Cosell sound like an introvert.

Marcus Spears has tremendous respect for Smith. Marcus is a good guy and I trust his opinion.
