It’s interesting that ex players go into real estate or insurance.

It shouldn’t be. They’re businesses where their name will auto-generate sales.

My buddy was on a fishing trip yesterday with ex-LSU safety Craig Steltz.
Craig is an insurance salesman. I know Darry Beckwith (LSU linebacker) has his own State Farm agency as well. Former LSU baseball player Will Pontiff has a State Farm agency as well, as does former RHP Chase Dardar.
Your point is valid.

Why? They use their name & face for sales purposes. Doesn't matter what business, they are going to be the person used for sales. This is why people try to convince kids to stay at their "home" in-state universities, because that will always be an option after school and the pros if you want to move back home. Otherwise, you'll have to move to the area where you choose to go to school for those opportunities.

If you are going to make commissions, why not make commissions off of large numbers?
And if you are going to tie your compensation to an industry, why not tie it to an industry that significantly inflates values?
