You do realize there is a finite number of wins and losses in a conference schedule right? It's a zero sum game. Someone needs to be ok with taking a bunch of Ls and Vandy fills that void. In return they raise the academic profile and are competent in other sports. They have 2 natties in baseball and even have had some good hoops teams. They're staying. Get over it

That’s why I specifically said FOOTBALL. Did you read? Get over it.

You apparently didn't read mine. If you take the top 16 teams in the nation and put them in one conference, some teams are going to start having losing seasons regularly and their perception as a top 16 team erodes. Vandy is ok being that team that loses all the time so they serve their purpose.

Can you do math ? Or logic ?

Gather the best sixteen, or twenty, or however many of the best college football programs in the country into the SEC. Guess what. The worst program of that bunch, even if its better than every other school not in the SEC, can look forward to going winless in the SEC.

No team gets to be great, for long, going winless. Folks like you don't get it. You need great teams, good teams, and less than good teams - all serious about football - to make a viable, sustainable conference long term.
