It’s pretty telling that neither Alabama nor Auburn are pushing hard for him.

Why? I can’t say. I do know Auburn and Alabama also passed on the big OT that committed to Oregon.

ETA: I’m not saying he’s a bad player or anything.

It is a little weird, tbh. Could have just been the relationship, it's not unheard of. I'm hoping that's the case, anyway. But I trust Rodney Garner to identify talent.

Production numbers just aren’t there, you expect more out of a kid ranked this high, regardless of the team situation, specifically at end where he had an opportunity to get his own.

Hopefully he’s able to perform this year

As you should. He would know better than almost anyone.

Maybe Ross has great camps and his game day production isn’t as good. Some coaches see his ability and think they can bring out on the field at the next level.

A friend’s kid is a beast on the field. Ran 10.24 100 and 4.4 40. He was the All-Conference and All-State 2 years, but he had 2 bad camps. Tweaked his hamstring in the State 100m and wasn’t a 100% at the Arkansas camp and dropped a few passes he alway makes and didn’t participate in all the drills at KState. 247 player rating dropped to a 86.
