We beat everyone regardless of what conference we’re in so I couldn’t care less either!

i only give a slight shite because teams like:

UCF
Houston
BYU

don't belong in a (former) power five conference.

Assuming Washington/Oregon move to big10 also, You could have had:

OreSt
Wash St
Stan
Cal
ASU
Arizona
Utah
Colo

Kan
KSU
Okst
Iowa St
TT
BAY
TCU
+one more

for a good lil league. Now you are going to have these mid tiers join and that will kill the big12 and pacLight even faster, just like the bigEast died after miami/vt left. They should have just merged. No one is going to tune into UCF vs Kansas.

It would have also been a great opportunity for Missouri or Nebraska to find their home again like Colorado did in the Big12, now that Texas is gone. Pretty sure that's the reason everyone gives for squirting out of the big12.

CSB portion:
We should actually go back to the power 7 leagues where regionality matters:

Big East
Big10
Big8
SWC
SEC
ACC
PAC

all with about 9-10 teams

To follow up with an actual opinion.
Which league is better in this scenario.

B12-
BYU, Arizona, Okie St, KSU, KU, TCU, TTU, Baylor, Houston, Colorado, Iowa St, WVU, UCinn, UCF

Or

PAC12- Oregon, OSU, Udub, Wazu, Cal, Stanford, AZU, Utes, SDSU, ColSU, Boise, Nevada

I would take the PAC12 any day over the B12

What does K State or Iowa St bring to the table over Houston or UCF?

I actually think the big 12 will be a competitive (amongst themselves) and fun league to watch. They’re still going to get blown out in a playoff game against a B1G or SEC team but it will be entertaining up until that point.

For one, regionality over UCF and Cinci.
Plus, KSU has somewhat of a history.

I want to be transparent and say that Houston has regionality and history too. But they lost out like SMU did.

I’m not right. It’s just my opinion that you would want to keep the continuity of the big12.

And yes, the big12 would be better off if Mizzy came back too. It’s more of a fit.

BYU is among peers in the Big 12, which also has Baylor and TCU. Otherwise I agree that schools like UH, Cincy and UCF should never have been added.

Other than Ohio State, the Big 10 really isn’t better than the Big 12.

AZU, AZ St and Utah are going to jump to the Big 12. Those talks are already in the works.

PAC 12 will be down to 9 in five states in 2024. 6 three states sometime shortly after that once those three above leave.

Whatever the PAC 12 ends-up with in the end it will be a shell of its former self ... a lesser conference than the old Big East or Conf USA or the American Conference. They will probably not even be able to call themselves the PAC anylonger. Wouldn't surprise me to see them end-up with a USF and San Diego State, et al, type membership. Maybe a scrub from the state of Texas, etc.

That is dumb. The Pac will soon be no more and the Big 12 will take from it what it wants. Their commissioner is trying to borrow time but everyone knows he is dealing a fake deck of cards. The Pac is done. Long live the Big 12.

you realize you are a G6 now ? right? when the SEC, B10, ACC, & ND schedule another Autonomous meeting, you know you won't be invited? you do understand that?

BYU is the biggest brand in the B12 now... think about that!

When the big12 has to add UCF and Cinci, it’s on borrowed time as well.
